Permanent exhibition on the history of the Font de la Canya and the archaeological research of the vineyard and wine. One of the most outstanding exhibitions dedicated to Iberian civilization in Catalonia.
It has an outdoor space, open to the public and willing to receive visitors to enjoy the architectural and heritage environment; and an interior space, where the whole set of interpretation resources has been installed. As if it were the vine itself, the visitor will be able to go through the 400m2 of contents, distributed in a conceptual way: from the light, the open air, to the darkness and stillness of the winery.
Castellet Castle, built on the remains of fortifications dating back more than 2,500 years, was built in 977 with a basic structure consisting of a watchtower and a small wall.
Dating from the 11th century and declared a Bé Cultural d'interès Nacional, it is the most representative medieval monument in the region and the only Romanesque Monastery in the Penedès.
A castle from the 10th century, with a Templar construction from the 13th century and two towers from the 15th century, encased on the old road from Sant Quintí to Sant Joan de Mediona, it guarded this strategic enclave for centuries.
The permanent exhibition at the VINSEUM is dedicated to the vineyard and wine, and the close connection these have with the Penedès region and Catalonia. Your journey starts on the third floor of the Royal Palace and ends with a cava or wine tasting in the tavern of the museum.
