Warm and welcoming: 6 autumn plans in Penedès

Penedès has a special appeal in autumn, when the harvest is over and the vineyards start to change colour. Visiting just to admire the orange, red, gold and yellow landscape is already worth it.

In addition, temperatures are usually very pleasant during the day and that you can do many outdoor activities, so it is no wonder why autumn is one of the seasons with the most visitors in Penedès Wine Region..

These are some of our favorite plans to do in the fall.

  1. Admire the landscape from one of the 5 Miravinya
The Miravinya route allows you to explore the different landscapes of Penedès and admire them from 5 viewpoints, each with a unique art or architectural element. Go visit each point and scan the QR code to hear a story, legend or curiosity. And of course, the views you'll find there are unbeatable!
  2. Book a wine tasting with a food pairing in a winery
Autumn is an ideal time to delve into the Penedès Wine Route and book a wine tourism experience, as there are options for activities both inside the wineries and outside. We encourage you to do a wine tour, a wine tasting and pair it with some food, or take a brunch or a picnic, which can be fun for the whole family. Children will enjoy the grape juice and being able to run on a large vineyard garden!

  3. Discover Cavatast
On the first weekend of October, Sant Sadurní d'Anoia is the home of this cava and gastronomy event that already has more than 25 editions. Locals do not want to miss the Cavatast, so that they can taste the new DO cava vintage and the chance for a friends reunion. See you there!
  4. Close the season of Wine Bars
You can still be out and about thanks to the midday weather. Enjoy the scenery, good company and a glass of wine in one of the Penedès Wine Route Wine Bars before the cold sets in. Everyone is going to receive you with open arms.
  5.  Get tickets for the Most Festival
In November you have a date with the Most, International Wine Film Festival in Vilafranca del Penedès. You can attend the screening of audiovisual productions related to the culture of the vineyard, wine and cava, in addition to tastings and various parallel activities. A great combination of two arts: wine and cinema.
  6. Plan a motorhome getaway
Did you know that Penedès has 12 motorhome overnight park areas in several towns? They are called RV Penedès · Sites & vineyards, and they are great to park your van and start discovering little corners of our towns or perhaps taking a guided tour of some monuments and places of interest. And even more: take a wine tour, a walking or a cycling route on a vineyard trail, buy local specialties or enjoy the gastronomy in one of our restaurants. The next van destination: Penedès!
