Festivals and celebrations are the expression of the Penedès spirit. Penedès is a living region to be experienced.

No matter when you come over, in Penedès there’s always something to celebrate! Festivals, celebrations and fairs fill the region with life all year round.

There’s a lot going on in Penedès, a vibrant region that beckons you to take part in whatever is happening. The town festivals, such as the Festa Major de Vilafranca, the Carnaval de Sitges i Vilanova and the Festa de la Fil·loxera, are wonderful opportunities to visit Penedès and get a feel for the tradition and nature of its people.

Wine fairs including the Vijazz Festival, Cavatast and Temps de Vi, among many others, are great occasions to try the wines and sparkling wines of the Penedès region. If you are looking to enjoy the typical cuisine of the area, you won’t want to miss the Fira del Gall (autochthonous chicken fair), the Mercat del Préssec d’Ordal (Ordal Peach Market), RemeiArt or the Ruta del Xató.

If music is what you want, the region makes its voice heard with events like the Festival Vida, the Festival de Música a les Vinyes and the Vinyasons. The schedule of festivals, events and entertainment is very complete all year round.
