The Dry Stone in Santa Oliva

Santa Oliva is a municipality whose stone elements are located quite far from the municipality. However, thanks to this route, it is possible to trace a route that visits these elements so important to our past with relative ease.

Route of the Pedra Seca in Santa Oliva

This route begins from the monastery of Santa María de Santa Oliva. From here, a circular route is made to then return to the church. Along the way, you can see the different huts of those who worked in these lands in the past. The route is 7.78 km and lasts approximately two hours with moderate difficulty due to the frequent slopes that exist along the route. However, it is not a complicated route to follow.

Places of interest

Dry Stone barracks

These huts are characterized by having a circular plant and being smaller than usual, because some of them were designed as shelters or to hide people or tools that should be stored. Therefore, many of these barracks are isolated from each other.
