The monastery of Sant Sebastià dels Gorgs, currently the village's parish church, was a Benedictine priory founded in the 11th century, with almost 800 years of monastic history. The visit to the monastery allows you to get to know the various spaces that make up the architectural complex. In parallel to this artistic and architectural vision, the visit also includes a historical aspect, as the origins of the monastery are explained, its evolution over the centuries and its transformation - convulsive - into the parish church that is now Along this path, important figures such as the Counts of Barcelona or Mir Geribert, and significant monasteries such as Sant Víctor de Marseille or Montserrat are mentioned, without ever forgetting the most prominent monks and abbots who lived in that cenobi.
