VIART 2022 FAIR SCHEDULE (ECO WINES – HANDICRAFTS - GASTRONOMY - ART)

Sant Llorenç d'Hortons will host ViArt on Saturday, April 9 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., an annual fair that was born in the municipality 10 years ago with the aim of merging organic, biodynamic or natural wines and cavas with art and its different expressions: painting, music, dance, gastronomy, etc. The wineries participating in this event have as a common denominator an agriculture that shows respect for the environment and minimal intervention during the cycle of the vineyard and winemaking. From the land, in the vineyards, to the final product, the wine. Thus, the wineries that will be present at ViArt work with agriculture based on biodiversity and astronomy, and have a lifestyle that understands that the earth is a living and receptive organism.

The reason why the wineries and artisans participating in ViArt share this DNA is because of the Terrazel, a show that characterizes and symbolizes the way of being and thinking of Sant Llorenç d'Hortons: a metaphor of the struggle between the forces of nature and the destruction that man causes towards it. The Terrazel is performed every August 10 in the village, the day of Sant Llorenç (village’s saint) and the heart of the Fiesta Mayor (village’s celebration).

The VIART program, despite concentrating on April 9, also includes a concert by Xavier Baró (BarnaSants) on April 2 and a walk with breakfast, tasting and a visit to two wineries on April 10. Below you can see the entire schedule:
