The best Traditional Jazz and New Orleans made in our country, which includes songs from the great Louis Amstrong

What does the activity include

Concert by the trumpeter Ricard Gili, director and incombustible leader of La Locomotora Negra for 50 years and clarinetist Oriol Romaní, two of the most renowned musicians in the country’s jazz world, have shared concerts and sessions with groups such as Jimmy Rena Trio, La Locomotora Negra, the New Orleans Blue Stompers or the Barcelona Swing Serenaders for years.

In jazz jargon cats are colleagues and hot jazz is that warm jazz that moves young and old and reaches everyone’s heart.

In this spirit, the Gili-Romani quintet Hot Jazz Cats offer their music full of feeling and swing, recreating typical jazz themes from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s in New Orleans, Chicago and New York, highlighting the magnificent performances of Ricard Gili of the great Louis Armstrong, which leave no one indifferent.

An experience that will surely remain in the viewer’s retina for a long time. Gili & Romaní, two swing beads, will transport us to the unforgettable Harlem clubs such as Apollo or the Savoy Ballroom to offer us songs by Louis Armstrong, Fletcher Henderson, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller or King Oliver, among others.
