More than five centuries of experience support Codorniu cellars. In the Ars Collecta collection, we find the perfect fusion of tradition and innovation. Coming from Celler Jaume, a micro-winery characterized by vineyard care and an innovative spirit.

Inspired by the values of the Ars Collecta collection, this premium experience reflects the value of the land, modernism, and the craftsmanship of over 450 years of winemaking. It is something unique, incomparable.

What does the activity include

The tour includes:

  • Welcome in the Puig Room, also known as the Cathedral of Cava.
  • Get an overview of the rich history of the company dating back to 1551.
  • Modernist Tour: Explore the architectural work of Josep Puig i Cadafalch, declared a Historical-Artistic Monument in 1976.
  • Immerse yourself in the history and heritage of the Codorníu family.
  • Discover the beauty of the Codorníu cellar gardens.
  • Detailed explanations about the cava production process.
  • Descent into the historic underground caves, dating back to the end of the 19th century, and a guided train tour through the extensive cellars.
  • Visit to the micro-winery Celler Jaume.
  • Tasting of 4 Ars Collecta cavas and a Paraje Calificado cava in a private room. Aperitif at the end of the tasting.



The Paraje Calificado designation, awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food, and the Environment, is an exclusive distinction for cavas made with grapes from a specific location, along with quality criteria in their production. Only 15 cavas in the entire country bear this designation, three of them from Codorníu.
