What does cava smell like? Macabeo, xarel·lo and parellada grapes are the traditional varieties used in the production of cava and each grape provides different and characteristic aromas: floral, fruity, spicy, balsamic...

Thanks to smell we can know many things about a cava. Find out and put your senses to the test in this visit and workshop at the Cava Centre.

  • Aroma workshop by Ainea Perfums:
  • Description of the 3 base wines used in the cava making process.
  • Olfactory notes of Parellada, Macabeo and Xarel·lo grapes.
  • Aroma wheel.
  • Wine tasting.
  • Production of cava, new elements that affect its smell and taste.
  • Cava tasting and its olfactory notes.
