Dalt d’un turó a una alçada de 468 metres, al nord-oest del terme municipal de Castellví de la Marca, al peu d’un impressionant penya-segat sobre la riera de Marmellar es troben les ruïnes més conegudes del municipi i unes de les més simbòliques del Penedès.
