An overnight getaway to discover the Penedès wine region, just 30 minutes from Barcelona.

First, a tour in VINSEUM, the Museum of the Wine Cultures of Catalunya. A good starting point for first-time visitors to get to know the culture of wine in Catalunya.

We will then go to the Hotel Mercer Casa Torner i Güell to check in. This is a 4-star hotel located in a modernist building in Vilafranca del Penedès, which is part of the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. It has recently opened the "Cuina Gaig", a restaurant where the renowned Michelin-starred chef Carles Gaig reproduces his well-known dishes.

Next day, we will do a self-guided bike tour, a route surrounded by vineyards. At the end of the route we will reach the Artcava winery. There we will take a guided tour of this small winery, where we will discover the secrets of cava and taste its products. Then we will take part in the workshop "Create your own cava", an activity in which you make your own bottle of cava and you can take it home.
