The art of pruning and authentic gastronomy: the Calçotada!

Give yourself a day of contact with the landscape, with the vineyard and with one of the most authentic gastronomic traditions that we look forward to it during all year round: Calçotadas!
Approximate timming:
9.30 a.m.-10 a.m. Arrival at the Torrelavit winery.

10 a.m. Express visit to the renovated Joan Segura Pujadas winery.

10.45 a.m. Walk through the vineyards in Torrelavit to the “Fages barraca”. Along the way:
• We will explain how pruning works and whoever wants will have the options to practice.
• We will taste wines and cavas paired with light appetizers.
• We'll have a good time =)

1:30 p.m. Arrival at the “Fages Barraca” and we will start the Calçotada! Includes: Joan Segura Pujadas Wines and Cavas, Grilled Sausage, Toasted Bread, Beans with bacon, Calçots with romesco sauce and dessert.

2:30 p.m. We return to the winery and end of the activity. This route is approximately 6km and about 70m of unevenness.

  • Calçotada with sausage, beans with bacon and dessert.
  • Tasting of Joan Segura Pujadas wines and cavas.
  • Explanation of pruning and possibility of its practice.
  • Visit to the renovated Torrelavit winery.
  • Discover the Barraca de Fages.
  • Walk between vineyards and possibility of transport in 4x4 in case of mobility difficulties.
Additional information

If someone is interested in doing the route and has mobility difficulties, there will be a 4×4 service.
